Karnataka PGET 2014 (Medical)

Kind Attention: In-Service Candidates appearing for PGET Karnataka 2006.

As per the Karnataka Conduct of Entrance Test for Selection and Admission to Post Graduate Medical And Dental Degree and Diploma Course Rules,2006 and as amended from time to time thereafter,

“In- Service Candidates” means persons belonging to the Health & Family Welfare Services, Employees State Insurance (Medical) Services, Mahanagara Palike, Boards and Corporations and Institutions which are granted autonomous status including the persons deputed from such services to any other foreign services. As per G.O. No. HFW.334.RGU.2012 dated 22.12.2012 ESIC Doctors working in Karnataka are considered as In-service Doctors and their seat allocation will be done under the quota of Boards & Corporations.

The criteria for determining the eligibility or the in-eligibility of the applicant/ candidate to appear as an In-Service candidate vests with the respective Heads of the Departments. All the Heads of the Department have published the eligible list of In-Service candidates on their respective websites and have also forwarded the list of such candidates to the National Board of Examinations as per the procedure delineated in the Information Bulletin.

It is hereby again reiterated that only such candidates deemed eligible by their respective Heads of the Departments as In-Service candidates can claim the right to write the PGET Medical and Dental examinations as In-Service candidates.

There are candidates who may have applied under the In-Service category,however their application may have been rejected by the respective Head of the Department and deemed ineligible to write the examination as an In-Service candidate.Such candidates whose application has been deemed ineligible by the respective Head of the Department cannot claim any rights to write the PGET examination as an In-Service candidate.

They will be writing the PGET examination as non In- Service candidates and shall do so on their own risk and responsibility.This is on account of the fees that they have paid to take the examinations.They cannot claim status as In-Service candidates or be eligible for counselling thereafter for seat allotment as In –Service candidates.They shall be treated as non In-Service candidates and take the examination and thereafter if eligible as per the merit list of Non In-Service candidates participate in the Counselling as Non In-Service candidates.
